ABOUT ME

Caoímhe Ní Chuilleagáin

I graduated from the UL Masters in Music Therapy in 2021 with a First Class Hons.
Prior to this I studied Music and Arts in UCC, as well as teaching guitar, piano, and ukulele.

During my training I worked in a neurorehabilitation hospital, two special schools, a residential care home for older adults, and an acute adult mental health unit.

Outside of this I have worked and volunteered with clients from a wide range of ages and backgrounds, including work in a direct provision centre, a montessori, a residential setting for adults with intellectual disabilities, day centres catering to older adults with dementia, and more.

I consider my approach to be client-led, humanistic, and resource-oriented. This approach focuses on using and supporting the abilities of the client, and working towards client empowerment.
